I'm working on the second Christmas Jaywalker and Elfine socks, but they look pretty much like the progress pics for the first of each pair, so rather than bore you the same old same old, here is a brief meme intermission...
TEN random things you might not know about me
- My mother calls me "Petunia"
- I live at the beach (technically, it's the Jersey Shore.)
- I once heard Bruce Springsteen playing an impromptu live show in Asbury Park - I was on my balcony, just listening to the Boss. (My apartment is in the next town over.)
- I am a voracious reader. I read 2-3 books per week no matter how busy I am. I can't be without a book like I can't be without knitting.
- In Gaelic, my last name means "big mouth."
- I was voted "most talented" in my Senior Class. My dream (then) was to be on Broadway. (Singing in the shower in New Jersey is kind of close...)(Kidding.)
- I went to college with the intention of being a Lawyer. I thought it would be like courtroom drama on tv. When I found out it wasn't, I changed my mind.
- I love tv, though I don't have much time for it. My favorite show is still Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- I am a terrible clutter bug. I save everything and must be made to throw things away.
- Aside from my "day" job, I also lead adult education courses in Leadership Development for 300+ people - it's a huge passion of mine. I've been leading programs like this for almost 13 years now.

I love this meme because it's just cool to read stuff about people, ya know? And I went to Ft. Lauderdale for Spring Break, too, in 1986!

awww.... petunia is so cute! I love your new glasses, they are great! I want a new pair too. I can't believe how much you read. That is awesome. I find my reading gets pushed aside in favor of the knitting, of course!
