(Sorry in advance for the crappy pictures... I have no idea why everything looks kind of "golden." It's kind of pretty except for the fact that you can't tell the colors of the dang yarn...)
1. Used my new Swift and Ball Winder for the first time - with my amazing new yarn from Sunshine Yarns...
2. Felt like an idiot... but figured it out the second time around.
3. Jaywalked
4. Started my first ever toe-up sock... Elfine... with big help from Debi's online tutorial for a Turkish Cast-On.
5. Ate too much and forgot to bring my camera to Thanksgiving Dinner.
6. Got my first ever attack of sciatica.... talk about a pain in the ass - literally.
7. Found out I need glasses - well, I knew, just was avoiding it. Now it's confirmed and I will be the proud wearer of glasses in about a week.
8. Gave big fat thanks for DVDs being mailed right to your door, and bigger, fatter thanks for Joss Whedon.

That first ball of yarn made me smile. I'm glad you figured it out. You were a busy sock knitter over the weekend. I'm really going to have to try that turkish cast-on. BTW, your photos are yellow from the inside light. Depending on your camera you can color balance it for indoor lighting or edit the photos on your computer.

My swift and winder were some of the best birthday gifts I ever bought myself. I still have crazy looking balls of yarn though. I thank Joss everyday I watch a Buffy rerun in the morning. Makes my morning!

I'm so envious of your swift and ball winder! Lucky you! Your Jaywalker socks are looking fabulous. And I feel for you on the sciatica. I had my first bout when I was pregnant with my son. Definitely a PITA!! :-)

I hope the sciatica pain lessens! That is not fun at all.
I love the Jaywalker, and can't wait to see more of Elfine ;)

Love the socks! I can relate to the !winder/swift mess...after a similar experience, my "better half" noted: "I thought that those things were supposed to make things easier for you," smirking as he spoke. LOL

You've been busy!
I had sciatica when I was pregnant, and it's a bitch. Good luck, and I hope you don't get it again! Yuck.
I'm excited to see those socks. Very cool with the toe-up. Aren't you fancy? ;)
